Unlike the majority of vintage steamer trunks, even wardrobe trunks, which have passed the point of actual usefulness for all around travel due to their size being not just prohibitive for road & rail travel but restricted for air travel.....
Unless you are very wealthy This model is still of a modern day compact sizing making it the ideal gentleman's personal wardrobe trunk & the perfect companion piece for over nights & weekend trips that require specific needs such as for formal wear, etc. The example for sale in this listing i. S in amazing condition for it's age (nearing a century now) & is ideal for display or actual usage while traveling (though if used as a checked piece you should pay a professional to make a high quality, reinforced luggage cover). This example is also complete w/ newly cut keys the original was broken in half, the stalk stuck in the lock.I had my local locksmith remove it, but said key is included. The former is reflective in the price of the item. They are the international buyers responsibility as they are imposed on you by your country.
Buyers MUST speak fluent English as I have had to deal with to many problems that stemmed from dealing with those who did not have a firm grasp on the language. All items come from a smoke & dog free home. This must be done so that I do not have scammers purchasing items, switching them with defective, like items and then setting up a claim to return them.
Grading & condition is subjective & is therefore open to interpretation & the pitfalls/shortcomings of perception. REMEMBER: There is no such thing as mint as it means perfect....
