The trunk has the Rosemaling painted on a red backgorund and the Spectre of colors used are so colorful. The trunk Originates from a farm in Setesdal in Aust Agder county, goes all the way towards the Mountains and the items from these areas were often painted by painters from Telemark and Numedal. After showing photos to sevral experts who all think it is painted by Bjorn Bjaalid in a setesdal style.
He was a painter who traveled around in these areas and over to Hardanger were he learned Trond Larson Huus the art of rosemaling.
