This is such a cool antique (probably 1900 - 1915) flat-top steamer trunk. Oak slats, metal corners and clamps. Plenty of storage space, a flat top making it functional as a coffee table. Great as a storage chest or a hope chest. Solid and sturdy with obvious cosmetic imperfections consistent wtih age.
Side clasps open and close as well and secure the trunk closed. No key to lock it. The earliest mention of the company that I can find was when it moved in 1915 from Harrison NJ to Bloomfield NJ. Dimensions: 34 in wide x 18 1/2 deep x 22 1/2 in tall.
2 leather straps that go across the top of the trunk is attached. Both buckles are still attached to the trunk. Hinge no longer attached to top of trunk but still on the trunk.
