Beautiful antique Victorian humpback style trunk made of wood with beautiful embossed metal accents and wood slat strapping. It has leather handles on each end and a wood tray on the inside. The inside lid is lined with paper and has a picture decoupaged in the center. The bottom has metal wheels attached and has the numbers "34no151". The trunk looks to be from the late 1800's. It looks to have been relined on the inside at a later date. The tray also looks to have been made around the same time. Trunk is painted black on the ends and sage green over the embossed areas. There are also decoupaged roses on the wood slats. Makes a beautiful and unique storage option or decor item. Measures 34 1/4" wide x 18 3/4" deep x 23 1/2 tall. Inside is 23 1/4" wide x 16 3/4" long x 15 1/2 deep. The tray is divided into two 15 5/8" x 16 1/4" x 3 7/8 deep sections.

Trunk is very solid and heavy. No cracks, splits or loose pieces.

The latch on the lid does not lock. The inside has a moth ball odor.

The finish on the outside has age appropriate wear. Please view description and photos carefully.
