E Goyard stamp found throughout chevron pattern. Original canvas lining remains, but inserts are missing. I have intentionally left the piece as is to preserve the authenticity of every stitch. Restoration is a personal choice that you can make on your own. However my chats with the largest collectors, research, and a general understanding of brand integrity allowed me to conclude that touching the piece in any way could compromise its authenticity. And if brass is still shining 120 years later? If leather handles look brand new?
