Antique Louis VUITTON Emballeur Trunk - Circa 1855 - One of the first trunks he/they made. Size: 75 x 53 x 66 cm. In 1858, Vuitton had the novel idea of designing a flat-topped trunkunlike the rounded-top trunks that were popular at the timein a gray Trianon canvas; the result was in a lightweight, airtight, stackable trunk. This trunk is an example of what Louis Vuitton Malletier made prior to their break through and iconic design.

This curved trunk could be easily stripped and then waxed to it's original wood finish. Note: the locks have been cut.

This is all reflected in the price. Better photographs are to follow. This is a rare trunk, for a collector. The item "Rare Antique Louis VUITTON Emballeur Trunk Circa 1855 The 1st trunks he made" is in sale since Monday, November 8, 2021.
